Victor Theodor Engwall started his trading company in the seaside town of Gavle, Sweden in 1853. Victor imported coffees he felt were among the world’s finest. People agreed with him – his business took off, and within a few years Victor was one of Sweden’s most successful coffee importers. He was even named the official coffee purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden by King Gustav.

These days, Gevalia Coffee is still finding ways to keep coffee lovers satisfied – perfect cup after perfect cup. That means finding, blending, and roasting some of the finest coffees available. And Gevalia coffee is still handcrafted in Gavle, Sweden.
